How does charging electric cars work?

Electric cars are supplied with electrical energy by being connected to a charging infrastructure. The charging infrastructure includes charging stations that provide either alternating current, so-called wall boxes (AC), or direct current, so-called fast chargers (DC). The vehicle is connected to the charging station via the charging cable and the charging process begins. The charging time depends on the battery capacity of the vehicle and the performance of the charging station.

What are the different types of charging stations?

How long does it take to fully charge an electric car?

The charging time depends on the battery capacity of the electric car and the power of the charging station. Using a conventional household socket, it can take several hours to over a day, while fast charging stations allow charging in 30 minutes to an hour. With an AC charger with a power such as our EM2GO Pro Power 11KW, you can charge at around 45 km/h, depending on the type of vehicle.

Can I charge my electric car using a normal household socket?

Yes, it is possible to charge an electric car using a conventional single-phase household socket, e.g. with our EM2GO Take3.6. However, the charging power is usually lower than at three-phase charging stations, which means that the charging process can take longer.

Do I need a wallbox to charge my electric car at home?

Basically, you need a device to charge an electric car. A wallbox is not absolutely necessary, but offers many advantages, such as faster charging times, additional safety functions, significantly more flexibility and easier handling of the charging process.

What can I do if the EM2GO Home Wallbox cannot be connected?

FONTAFIT PRO-APP

The device cannot be found or connected in the app.

Make sure that you have not connected the device via the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone. You can tell whether the device is already connected to a smartphone by the display >B<. If you have connected the device via the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone, first remove the device and switch off Bluetooth on your smartphone. Open the "FontaFit Pro" app, activate Bluetooth and add the device via the app.

How can I reset the FontaFit 140CH (factory settings)?

If there are problems with the connection, it helps to reset the FontaFit 140CH or restore it to factory settings. To do this, proceed as follows:

Activate the clock display by briefly pressing the sensor button.
When the display is on and the time display is active, press and hold the button for about 1 second until the time menu appears.

Select the menu item "RESET" by briefly pressing the button and confirm by pressing the button again for approx. 1 second.
The device will now reset itself and will be ready for use again as soon as the display lights up.

Error message "Your device is not compatible with this version" when you try to install the app from the Google Play Store.

Check your phone for available software updates and install them.
Clear Google Play Store data and cache by opening your phone's Settings, tapping "Apps & notifications" > "See all apps" and going to "Google Play Store" > "Storage". Tap "Clear cache", "Clear data", restart your phone and try to install the app.
If you cannot install the app via the Play Store, try installing it manually. Open the website d-parts.de/fontafit_pro on your computer and scan the QR code "Direct Download (Android)" with your smartphone or download the installation file directly from the following link: Direct Download (Android).
Enable the "Unknown Sources" option under "Settings" > "Device Security", open the previously downloaded installation file and follow the installation instructions.
Please note that the menu items may have a different name on your smartphone.
The app requires at least Android 4.4 and Bluetooth version 4.0.

Can I connect more than one fitness watch to a smartphone?

You can only connect one fitness watch to the app. Multiple devices connected to a smartphone at the same time are not supported.

A notification from FontaFit Pro appears in the notification center. How can I deactivate it?

While the app is running, the notification with the current step information will be displayed. You can disable all notifications from the app by pressing and holding the notification and tapping (i). Settings > App notifications will open. Enable the "Block all" option. You will not see any more notifications from the app.
This option will not affect incoming notifications from other apps. The notifications will still appear on the connected device.

Where can I find the activity data from the past few days?

In the detail view of the "FontaFit Pro" app, tap on the calendar or protocol icon and select the corresponding entry to display the data of past days.

How can I update the firmware of my fitness watch?

If a firmware update is available for your fitness watch, the red indicator in the "Firmware Update" section will appear. To update the firmware, go to "Firmware Update". On the following screen, you will see the firmware changes. Click "Update" to download the firmware and transfer it to your fitness watch.
Note: Please make sure the fitness watch is fully charged before firmware update. Do not use the fitness watch and your phone during the whole firmware update.

FONTAHOME APP

How can I connect my device to Amazon Alexa (e.g. Amazon Echo)?

You can link your devices and scenes from the FontaHome app to Amazon Alexa.
Proceed as follows:

1. Make sure your devices have been added to the FontaHome app and are online.
2. Open the "Amazon Alexa" app and navigate to "Skills and Games" in the menu.

3. Look for the "Smart Life" skill.

Note: If you are not already signed in to the Amazon Alexa app, please use your Amazon account associated with your Amazon Alexa-enabled device (e.g. Amazon Echo) to sign in to the Amazon Alexa app.
4. Click "ACTIVATE" to link your Alexa account to your FontaHome account.

5. You will be redirected to the login page for the skill "Smart Life". Please log in here with the same data you used to register the FontaHome App.

Note: If a list of applications appears below the login fields, please select "FontaHome".
6. After logging in, click "Authorize" to link your FontaHome account and the associated devices to Amazon Alexa.
7. Once authorization is complete, close the page and click "DISCOVER DEVICES". Amazon Alexa will now search for compatible devices from your FontaHome account.

8. You can now access your FontaHome devices and scenes via Amazon Alexa. Optionally, you can add the devices to groups in the "Amazon Alexa" app, so that you can say, for example: "Alexa, turn everything off in the bedroom".

How do the scenes/automations work and what effects do they have?

With the FontaHome app you can use scenes and automations to control smart home devices and perform actions.
A scene is used to perform certain actions on devices with one click via the FontaHome app or through third-party services.
Automation allows you to perform actions automatically according to defined conditions.
To create a scene or automation, follow these steps:

1. Click "Scenes" in the FontaHome app, select "Scene" or "Automation" in the upper right corner and click the "+" sign.
2. Enter the title for the scene/automation by tapping the pencil icon.
3. For automations, first set conditions that control the actions. By default, the actions will run once a condition is met. If you want the actions to run only when all conditions are met, tap "When a condition is met" to change this.
4. For scenes and automations, next set the actions by tapping the "+" sign under "Perform the following actions". For scenes, you can enable/disable automations and control devices as actions. For automations, you can run scenes, enable/disable automations, send notifications to the phone, and add delays to perform an action after a certain duration.
5. Under "Valid time period" you can specify when an automation should be active in addition to the conditions.
6. To delete a condition/action from a scene or automation, swipe left and tap Delete.
7. To delete a scene/automation, tap "Delete Scene".


Note: Actions are always processed from top to bottom. For example, if you have added a delay of one minute to the actions, the next action will be triggered after one minute.

Fitness Tracker Lema 610CH: How to connect the watch to your smartphone?

The results of the heart rate, blood pressure and blood oxygen measurements differ from the actual values.

Make sure that the sensor on the bottom of the fitness watch is clean. Avoid using greasy creams as these, as well as tattoos and thick hair, can affect the results. Wear the fitness watch about 1 cm above the wrist bone and make sure that it fits snugly against the skin. Due to the limitations of the technology used (photoplethysmography), measurement with the fitness watch is not an alternative to medical devices.

Not enough steps are recorded.

To avoid incorrect measurements caused by hand movements, for example, the fitness watch only evaluates steps of 10-20 continuously walked steps (FontaFit 140 firmware version MOY-OH2-1.7.0).

How can I set the date and time on the fitness watch?

The date and time are synchronized with the smartphone as soon as the fitness watch is connected to the smartphone. Manual setting is not possible.

Over what period does the sleep analysis work?

Sleep analysis only works when the device is worn during sleep; it is active from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. Sleep analysis during the day is not possible (FontaFit 140 firmware version MOY-OH4-1.7.3).

The device cannot be turned on or charged.

Make sure that the charging contacts on the fitness watch are clean and that the USB connector contacts are facing the right way when plugged in. A battery symbol will appear on the display. If the battery is completely discharged, leave the device connected to the USB power supply for a while. If no battery symbol appears, try connecting the fitness watch to the USB power source in reverse order.

The fitness watch counts steps, even if no sporting activity takes place.

The pedometer of fitness watches is based on measurements of the accelerometer (G-sensor) during physical movements of the arm on which the fitness watch is worn.
This may be the case during certain activities such as knitting, clapping, or similar activities that involve moving the arm.
For best results, wear the fitness watch on your non-dominant arm during activities. Alternatively, you can take the watch off during these activities.

What can I do if the power bank won't charge?

Fully charge the power bank before first use. Charging time may vary depending on the charger. Check if the LED indicator is fully charged (all 4 LEDs are lit). If the power bank only shows one LED, it is almost empty.

WIFI SMART SOCKET

How do I connect the WiFi socket to my WiFI network to use it in the FontaHome app?

To add the WiFi socket in FontaHome and connect it to your WiFi network, please follow the steps below:

1. Switch on the socket by briefly pressing the button (LED lights up blue).
2. Hold the button down for about 5 seconds until the socket switches audibly.
3. The LED should now flash red quickly (2 times/second).
4. When the blue LED lights up, briefly press the button.
5. The socket can now be added via the FontaHome app.

To configure in AP mode, please repeat the procedure.

TOKA WIRELESS STEREO HEADSET

Both Toka headsets cannot be connected to my mobile phone. How does pairing work?

1. Turn on both headsets by pressing and holding the multifunction button on both headsets for about 2 seconds. The headsets will turn on and go straight into pairing mode (indicated by the red and blue LEDs flashing alternately).
2. Double-click the multifunction button of one headset. The headsets are connected when you hear "du-du" and the LED of one headset flashes blue while the LEDs of the other headset continue to flash red/blue.
3. Use your mobile phone, computer or other Bluetooth® transmitter to search for Bluetooth® audio devices.


Note: To use the headsets individually, turn on one instead of both and connect it to the Bluetooth® device.

How do I pair Toka with my mobile device?

First, turn on the headset by holding down the multifunction button on both devices for about 2 seconds. Now double-tap the multifunction button on one of the headsets. The headsets will connect to each other. When you hear two tones in quick succession, the headsets are connected. The LEDs on one of the headsets will flash blue, the others will flash red and blue. You should now search for Bluetooth® devices on your phone. Select Toka from the list on your phone and connect your smartphone to the headset.
This happens automatically when pairing repeatedly, provided the battery is not completely discharged.
